Here she is again. I have allkinds of ideas for her in mind.  For instance, how would she look in oil?  Where would I apply some gold leaf?  What a fun subject.

So easy to understand yet so difficult to put into practice.  I bought this vintage Mary statue on ebay and thought she looked so pretty up there on the shelf in front of a painting.  I'll be doing Mary many ways!

Another Christmas Card

Gosh, it's been a whole year already.  Here is the card I made for my sister and brother-in-law.

American Gothic

My sister and her husband bought a farm last year and have been spending every spare minute fixing up and remodeling the house. They wanted me to paint a painting for them to use as a Christmas card this year portraying themselves whimsically as the American Gothic couple with Elves falling off the roof. One has gotten caught on the pitchfork and Santa is delivering..what else, but a John deere tractor. I hope they like it.
